Welcome to our church’s website. We hope that it is helpful to you. Our church is a small but growing Baptist church with an emphasis on ministry to families and individuals in North Shelby County. Although our church has more than 100 years of history and tradition and our facilities are a little older than some other churches, we have a 21st century approach to life and ministry.
We believe that every person is important in God’s sight. We know this because God sent his only Son, Jesus, to die on the Cross for our sins. God’s Word, the Bible teaches clearly that we have all messed up in our lives (that we are all sinners Romans 3:23). However, the Bible also teaches that God loves us just the way we are and that Jesus died on the Cross because God loves us so much (Romans 5: 8). Because we have all “messed up” in our lives, none of us can point fingers at others. Instead, God has given us the good news that He loves us and that through faith in Jesus, God can transform our lives (II Corinthians 5: 17).
The Bible also teaches that when God transforms our lives, He intends for us to be agents of transformation in our community. Jesus lived and died as God’s servant to us so that we could learn to be God’s servants to others. Indian Springs First Baptist Church is committed to the idea that every believer in Christ is important in the work of God’s kingdom and has a responsibility to use his or her gifts to serve God and others. Therefore, in our church, you will not only find a place of love and acceptance but also a place to serve so that together we can make a difference in our community.
We offer each of you an invitation to be our guests for Bible study and worship very soon. Although we are not a perfect church, we are a church that loves people in Jesus’ name and tries to share God’s love with those around us. If you are looking for a place where you can be loved and where you can find a place to “connect” with others, ISFBC is the place for you. If you are looking for a place to serve, ISFBC is the place for you.
